Post Office Money Free Parent Life Cover meets your demands and needs if you can answer 'yes' to all of the following questions:

  • Are you aged between 18 and 66?
  • Do you have one or more children under the age of 4 and are named on the child's birth certificate, adoption certificate, final residence order or special guardianship order?
  • Are you looking for a policy that pays out £15,000 if you die within the next year?

If you could answer yes to the above questions, you will be eligible for Post Office Money Free Parent Life Cover if you fit the following eligibility criteria and that all the information you provide is complete and accurate. If it's not, the policy may not pay out in the event of a claim.

  • You are a UK resident.
  • You cannot apply if you have had a positive diagnosis of HIV infection or within the last 12 months received medical treatment for cancer (including leukaemia and lymphoma).
  • The policy will not pay out if you commit suicide or you die as the result of attempted suicide, a self-inflicted injury, an HIV-related illness, or your death is linked to being under the influence (temporarily or otherwise) of alcohol or drugs.
  • You can apply once for each child you have (up to a maximum of eight children), so if you've already made a previous Post Office Free Parent Life Cover application for the same child, you cannot reapply.
  • Each child must be under 4 years old.
  • You will need to answer three survey questions on safeguarding your family's future.
